The guest house

Le Bourgis is an old, lived-in house, set in a quiet, green environment. The rooms are in independent spaces within the property. We ask you to respect the peace of the place, its occupants and the grounds.

Arrivals and departures

Times are agreed before you arrive. As a rule, arrivals take place between 6pm and 11:30pm, departures by 11am, with some flexibility depending on our availability and your own constraints.

Breakfast

Continental breakfast is included for the rooms; at La Grange, it's available to order, at an extra charge (€8 per person).
It's served 8:30am to 10:30am, in the dining room, the garden or on the terrace depending on the season. Before 8:30am, it can be left in the entrance hall.

An English-style breakfast is available if ordered the day before, for a supplement of €12.

The rooms

All indoor spaces are non-smoking. Meals, soft drinks and hot drinks are not permitted in the rooms.

The materials used are mostly natural. Anyone sensitive to pollen or cat hair should bear this in mind. Pets aren't allowed, but we do have cats (who won't get into the rooms as long as the doors are kept closed!).

High-speed wifi is available in the rooms as well as at La Grange.

For everyone's comfort, please help keep the house quiet.

La Grange

La Grange is an independent 50 m² lodge, separate from the main house and the guest rooms. It's a space of its own, with its own rules: breakfast isn't automatically included and must be booked separately in advance.

Reached directly from the car park, it sleeps up to 6: 2 on the ground floor in the extra-comfort sofa bed, 4 upstairs on the mezzanine. Shower room with WC, air conditioning, high-speed wifi. Drinks area with microwave, minibar/fridge, kettle and sink.

La Grange can also be rented by the day or half-day, without sleeping arrangements, for up to 12 people — for an event, a seminar or a family gathering.

As everywhere on the estate, no cooking is permitted there: no hob, and no preparation giving off strong odours. Hot drinks are complimentary; cold drinks are priced à la carte.

The same rules protecting the estate's peace and quiet apply here: no smoking indoors, no pets, quiet please.

You are our guests

The rooms in the main house are upstairs, reached by a staircase. La Grange has a bed and a shower room on the ground floor. Children are welcome if they're calm. One travel cot can be provided, depending on the room. Children remain entirely their parents' responsibility. For longer stays, La Grange is much better suited to families with children.

Unaccompanied minors cannot be accommodated.

Access to the property and capacity

To preserve everyone's peace and quiet, access to the estate is reserved for guests staying on site. If you'd like someone to visit you, just let us know beforehand — in the vast majority of cases, it's possible.
We simply ask you not to receive visitors without telling us first: otherwise, we reserve the right to end the visit, and possibly the rest of the stay.

Lodge — La Grange

• With sleeping arrangements: 6 people (2 on the ground floor in the extra-comfort sofa bed, 4 upstairs on the mezzanine)
• Day or half-day rental, without sleeping arrangements: 12 people maximum

Cleaning fee

This is charged once per booking. It covers cleaning, house linen, hot water, heating and bedding equipment. To protect your privacy, we don't enter rooms while you're out, unless specifically asked to.

For longer stays, we agree together on the frequency of cleaning and linen changes.

The evening table

We can cook for up to 12 people, in line with applicable food-service hygiene rules. A single menu is served to the whole table, by advance reservation.

We also offer homemade dishes in jars, a self-service minibar and, as part of meals, drinks and digestifs in line with current licensing rules.

Electric bikes

Electric bikes are available to rent for exploring the Perche. They're provided in good working order, with a helmet available on request.

The guest is responsible for the bike throughout the rental: careful use, compliance with the highway code, and return in the condition in which it was handed over. Le Bourgis accepts no liability for any accident, fall or personal injury occurring during use; please check that your personal insurance covers this kind of activity.

Any damage to or loss of the bike (breakage, theft through negligence, etc.) may be charged.

General provisions

• please leave the premises in good condition and let us know about any damage as soon as it happens
• if any damage is caused during the stay, repair or replacement costs remain the guest's responsibility; please contact your insurer (holiday liability cover or equivalent)
• there is a pond and an ornamental pool in the garden: please keep an eye on children
• there is no kitchen available to guests, and cooking is not permitted anywhere on the estate (no hob, and no preparation giving off strong odours, including at La Grange)
• in the rooms' entrance hall: microwave, minibar/fridge, kettle and toaster; at La Grange: microwave, minibar/fridge, kettle and sink
• hot drinks are complimentary; cold drinks are priced à la carte
• valuables remain your own responsibility
• please check that your home or travel insurance covers your stay
• forgotten items: we'll gladly send them back to you, with postage at your expense
• the car park is covered by outdoor video surveillance
• we count on your environmentally friendly habits (water, electricity, recycling)
• heating (and air conditioning at La Grange) are of course at your disposal — just remember to close windows and glass doors while they're running, or switch them off before airing the room; in case of significant overuse, a supplement may be charged

Payment

Booking directly gets you a lower rate than through booking platforms. The tourist tax (€0.50 per person per night) is charged on top of the price of the stay. All bookings are payable in advance; for longer stays, a deposit can be agreed together. Meals, drinks and takeaway items are paid for on site.

Cancellation policy

• free cancellation up to 3 days before your arrival date
• 50% of the total amount refunded up to 2 days before arrival
• the total amount of the booking is non-refundable if you cancel the day before or on the day of arrival, or in case of no-show
• third-party platforms apply their own terms

Any change of dates counts as a cancellation followed by a new booking request, under the terms above.

In case of force majeure on our side (damage to the property, weather making the estate inaccessible…), we'll offer you a new date or a full refund. A guest's illness does not count as force majeure and remains subject to the cancellation terms above; a free change of dates can be discussed.

Booking process

2. we check availability and send you a confirmation link
3. the booking is confirmed once fully validated and paid for, using the agreed method
